Suarez Saga

"No player is bigger than the club"

While I agree that no club is bigger than Liverpool, I disagree with diregarding players based on the phrase "No player is bigger"

What is a club without players? Nothing.

Do we want to be another midtable club? We will without a star, and in order to have a star player we need to create one. We need to treat that star like a celebrity.

Selling Suarez is going to hinder our Champions League  chase. Are we going to get another player as good who wants to play for a club that's not contending on a European scale?

Yes we got Suarez even though we were out, but what if we got lucky?

It's time we start fighting for our players and thats that.

My letter to Jamie Carragher

 Jamie Carragher,

This just has to be said, because you have taught me so much in all those years you served at Liverpool FC, more than any life lesson has taught me.

Loyalty, passion, determination and respect, you are the epitome of it all.

You showed us that football is more than just kicking a ball around, that it is not just a mindless sport. You were never in it for the fame or the money. You didn't head towards glory, instead you stayed with LFC because to you they were family, and you never turned your back on family. For years you were our wall, and nothing deterred you. You gained respect and fans, and you deserved it.
Your love for Liverpool showed across all barriers of race , culture, countries and language.

Thank you for standing strong. Thank you for never turning your back on us, thank you for not chasing fame or money and most of all thank you for Istanbul 2005. Although you did not score the winning goal, you were the rock that saved us, you were the voice that encouraged us and most of all you were the brains behind the victory. Wobbly legs ? Genius, Carra.

You mentioned in your autobiography that it all started with the way your father handled you faking an injury. Credit to the man for raising a son with integrity and dedication. You played through the worst of injuries and cramps, never faking it again.

Thank you Carra. Thank you for all those years. When we think of the number 23, we think of you. When we look back on true loyalty and passion we see your face. In a world where money is everything, men like you are highly underrated.
I only hope if I ever have a son, I will raise him to be half the man you are.
There will never be another Carra and can only hope to see you on the coaching side for the reds because there is no better inspiration or role model than you.

Till then, I know it is time to say good bye. I know that, though I will not be at Anfield or even England when you receive your emotional send off, I will be standing up, tears in my eyes because this is the end of something great.

And we have been lucky to say, that we got to witness the "Carragher Era"

Thank You,

I can think of no more words to say

~ Michelle

Frankly My Dear, I Don't Give a Damn

I'm tired of hearing it.

"Liverfools", "Loserpool", "Red Shite".

I'm sick of you people asking me "why do you STILL support them, they're terrible."

Are you telling me your wife/girlfriend will remain hot forever? Will you stop loving them?

Will your mother be able to take care of you for life? Will you abandon her?

At some point in the next 15 years, will that dog of yours be able to fetch that stick? Will you put him to sleep?

No. I am not that type of person.

I fell in love with this team when I was a little kid, and I still love them. This. Will. Never . Change.

You telling me that they are shit, or they will never win a title is NOT going to change that.

United fans years before Fergie, never dreamed of this success.

Arsenal fans may have felt it was the end of the world when Fabregas and Nasri said their goodbyes.

Chelsea  never won a champions league before last year.

Manchester City had not won a title in 44 years.

Can you imagine a 44 year old man, supporting a team who never in his lifetime won a Premier League title?

But things change, teams improve, just as teams break down.

If I dont see them win for the next 15 years, the 16th year when they finally do get that Trophy, it will be worth the wait and I will celebrate like there's no tomorrow

So if you honestly think I'm wasting my time, or Liverpool sucks...

It's Time

Enough Already!

A story ...

Let me tell you a story.

A story full of emotion, full of passion, full of devotion.

It is a love story larger than life, larger than any love story you have ever heard of and will ever hear.

Let me tell you the story, like no other.

It is not your average boy meets girl, if you were looking for that please turn away now. This is for those who fall in love, not with a person but a notion.

Once upon a time, there a few men, passionate about their sport... they played for the love of it, they played for life itself. These men grew from nothing...to something. They found a home, they found someone to love them... and then they became a part of something bigger.

These 11 men became 22, 44... 66.. Generations of men, who started off the same way, became something, found shelter in the same house, the same academy.

Generations of men who were successful, who then became famous. And we fell in love.

Today, I’ll tell you the love story of a Liverpool supporter.

It all starts with one game.

One game that makes you fall in love. One player, one ball hitting the back of the net and you are captivated.
Success draws you in, you begin to grow passion. You laugh with them, you cry with them. You are infatuated.

And then things go wrong.

The success disappears, that one moment of glory never comes... the tears are real, the pain is real. People desert you... people mock you. You cry out in despair but that feeling of devotion goes no where...

This is a story where infatuation turns to love... not in one glorious moment but all the little moments of pain where you didn’t care. You promise you would stick by them forever.

This is true love.

You felt the frustration, you felt the anguish... but you never turn your back on them. Tell me people, isn;t this true love? You’ll Never Walk Alone...

Through thick and thin, in sickness and health.

See that storm ahead? We’ll walk with you through it...

It doesn’t matter how many year’s things didn’t go right. We’ll walk with you.

And you’ll NEVER walk alone, remember that.

This is  love that speaks volumes in its silence...

This is a story of a club called Liverpool.

This is a story of the fans.

This is my love story.

And I know, we’ll never walk alone.

A letter to all you United fans

 Dear Red Devils,

I'm sorry to break it to you, but some of you are the worst excuse for football fans.
Without bias, in all honesty, some of you need to "reflect" upon your status.
You scream Van Persie's name today, yet two years ago you thought him useless.
You accuse others of being "one man teams", yet all you do is pass to RVP.
You say United forever, but can't name 11 players in the team.
You say you have legends, but do you even know who Cantona is?
You claim to LOVE football spirit but you still mock the victims of the Hillsborough disaster.
All you know to sing is "Glory Glory Man United", dear fan, football isn't all about glory.

Come on  now, tell me who was your manager before Ferguson?
What is Nani's full name?
Hey do you remember what was the best come back of all time?
No, it wasn't Manchester United in 2012.
Do you know where Rooney is originally from?
Heard of this place called Everton?

You wear that shirt on your back, with his name,
the same one you'll burn tomorrow if he leaves for, say,  Liverpool.
You call other teams names, you say they suck, do you see the effort the players put into each match?
Have you watched a game where  United hasn't played?

You will always say Ronaldo is better than Messi, but have you seen Messi play?
Do you know that you are the most hated club in the world?
And say what you might, it is NOT because we are jealous of your success, because as far as I know, Barcelona is more succesful and very few "hate" them.

You say you'll are champions of the "World"
but do you know that the world has more countries other than "England"?

Mock us, insult us all you want... we still hold pride in know who really are the true fans.

  Sincerely,

Those who support Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton, etc.etc.

Manchester United.

Manchester United.

Those cocky, arrogant sons-of-bitches. How I hate them... My blood boils at their mention,,

Evra, Nani, Ferguson, I could just wring their necks with the jealousy breeding in my veins.

You know that popular girl in school, the one who just has it all? Money, popularity, friends, that car you've always dreamed off? That girl who could break the rules, and have it all... yet chooses to spend her awesome life just throwing it in your miserable face. Yes I know you're picturing that one girl in your mind, and yes I'm talking about her. That bitch, who always gets away with the worst of offenses, she is Manchester United, and I hate her. I hate her more than a jealous girlfriend hates that one hot girl who always flirts with her man. I refer to  United as her, because no man could get away with the shit that the players of Manchester United have, and no man could get someone into as much trouble as a woman could.

You remember Eve? Yes, that slut who tempted Adam? That is Manchester United...

And Jezebel? Definitely Manchester United.

Damn You Manchester United.

You Have It All.

Except Humility and Honesty.

You wicked witch, so wicked even Disney wouldn't have you in one of their fairy tales!
